medicine beyond memorization
Question.
Understand.
Master.
I’m Dr. Quinton Nannet, an emergency medicine physician and USMLE tutor dedicated to helping medical students and physicians climb the mountain of medical education and excel on their board exams and beyond. My tutoring philosophy is built on the belief that true success comes from understanding, not memorization—a lesson I learned firsthand during my own journey.
I tailor each session to the individual student, focusing on knowledge mastery, confidence building, and strategic test-taking skills to ensure you not only conquer the USMLE but also thrive in clinical practice and residency. Whether you’re aiming for a top score or fighting for your first passing score, my goal is to create a high-yield, supportive learning environment that empowers you to take control of your education and career while reducing anxiety and burnout along the way.
From My students in their words
“I left each of our sessions not only with more knowledge but more confidence in my knowledge. I told you this in our last session but it’s really an amazing feeling to now be able to approach medicine from an actual understanding of physiology as opposed to the facts I memorized and shuffled around my brain. I always knew I was lacking in my physiology knowledge but just kept tucking it away because I was passing shelf exams with no problem. As my third year drew to a close I started getting really nervous about how I could be a literal doctor in a year and not know physiology. I don’t have this fear anymore at all. You knew exactly what I didn’t know, what was important to teach me, and how to teach it even when I was skeptical about your moonshine lesson (I never missed one of those questions again). I would come downstairs after each session of ours and my mom would ask how it was and I would just say amazing and she would ask what we did and I’m like everything, which is truly what it felt like. Each session I was absorbing a world of knowledge. Our sessions made me love learning medicine.” - USMLE Step 2CK Student
